Widows of Prayer

Among the many ministries of our parish, ‘Widows of Prayer’ drew my immediate attention since Bishop Kevin Rhoades appointed me as the spiritual director of the same. ’Widows of Prayer” devote themselves to a ministry of prayer for priests and others in Church leadership. They foster devotion to the Blessed sacrament, support the Church’s leaders by prayer and reach out to widows with compassion. The desire to serve through a ministry of prayer began and found support through the approval of the Bishop of the Diocese of Green Bay, Wisconsin. Widowhood presents a difficult time in a woman’s life. Scripture offers words of wisdom for this ministry. Among them St. Paul writes ‘But a widow in the full sense, one who is alone in the world, puts all her trust in God, and regularly, night and day attends the meetings for prayer and worship”
1 Timothy 5:5

Time: 9.30 a.m. – 10.30 a.m.
Every First Wednesday of the month, there is a talk, opportunity for confessions and Holy Mass. The celebration of the Mass is open to any parishioner. The next mass will be on September 2nd at 10:00 a.m.
