The Christmas Food Box Program began as a small ministry in 1975 serving 150 to 200 families. Then in 1983, local high schools got involved and over the last several years the program has served over 1,000 families. This year the Christmas Food Box is designed to feed the recipient family a holiday dinner.
Registration is required to receive a Christmas Food Box. Registration is open from November 8 through November 28. You can register for a Christmas Food Box in three different ways:
- Register online starting November 8, 2020. A link will be made available here at that time.
- Register in person at Miss Virginia’s Food Pantry, 1312 S. Hanna Street, Tuesdays or Wednesdays, 11am-1pm, between November 8 and November 28.
- Register in person at the Soup Kitchen or Parish Office, 1101 Lafayette Street, Monday-Friday from 10am-2pm.
One Christmas Food Box per household address will be distributed. All registered clients will receive a postcard in the mail that must be brought to Distribution Day. Postcards will be mailed December 1.
